Protecting the Cash Flow - 6th December 2007
Cash flow is the lifeblood of a successful construction project. This session considers how simple steps taken to identify and minimise potential risk factors pre-contract, based on an understanding of the contract, together with effective contract administration can prevent avoidable disputes and the subsequent problems resulting from interruptions to cash flow for the client, contractor and sub-contractor.
Building Regulations Appreciation - 17th January 2008
Recent and forthcoming changes to the building regulations will have implications for all construction professionals and their clients. An overview of these changes will be given as well as a more detailed investigation of the most important.
CDM: Legal and Practical - 13th March 2008
A user guide to the practical application of CDM, reinforced by an appreciation of the legal obligations of all parties.
Mediation in Practice - 15th May 2008
An investigation of how mediation can provide better outcomes to a dispute for both the contractor and client.
Quantifying Prolongation Claims - 12th June 2008
The successful quantification of claims needs to be based on an effective use of planning and programming techniques. This session will describe the use of these techniques in order to establish the effect of delaying events on the programme and their quantification.
